We’re on the cusp of a new era where artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, and bionic enhancement will blur the lines between the human race and its fellow species, blending the worlds of animated nature and manmade machines. A brave new world!
But what if Mother Earth could turn the tables, benefiting from us for a change? Wouldn’t it be nice if she could incorporate the achievements of human ingenuity into her systems? In some ways this is already happening, with foxes adapting to city living or certain microbes feeding off toxic waste.
Photographer Maciek Miloch and set designer Zuza Slominska envisioned for us what it might look like if plants started using the remnants of our throwaway society to enhance their world. Perhaps they would collect nutrients, guard themselves against pollution, or simply reuse bits and pieces we discard to look more attractive to newly evolved insects?
Stroll with us through this imaginary garden of strangely beautiful hybrids and discover their fragrant fruits and blossoms – a selection of exceptional perfume creations that will dazzle you with their intoxicating odors. Enjoy!
