Photographer Joseph Saraceno and creative director/still life stylist Wilson Wong’s most recent production for SCENTURY generated arrestingly poetic still lifes to convey a straightforward but essential truth: human life depends on the integrity of nature and its capacity to support us.
No matter how much technology we use to improve the comfort or safety of our lives, in the end it all boils down to our need for wholesome food, pure water, and clean air. Even the tallest skyscraper made of steel and concrete eventually rests on a natural rock and dirt foundation
Creation will uphold and sustain us if we are prepared to respect nature and promote its equilibrium. The pictures in this editorial show scent in sets that are absolutely gorgeous. Another layer, visible beneath this celebration of olfactory grandeur, illustrates the vulnerability of the interdependence between human enterprise and the harmony of nature.
